Independent Beneficiaries

As Lions our principal aim is to provide assistance and funds to those in need, and worthy causes.

Over £550,000 to date has been raised and spent within the local community since we were formed in 1980.

In order to raise funds we organise numerous events throughout the year.

Examples of some of the beneficiaries are:

. A handicaped youngester in Woodley was presented with a Specialized bed to aid his comfort.

. Grant toward completion of electrical work to make a family home safe.

. Funding towards a purpose designed wheel chair.

. Puchase of Sensory room equipment.

. Financial assistance to various respite care groups and centres.

. Youth groups have received donations for various equipment and uniforms.
