Christmas Collections
The Woodley and Earley Lions Club were once again found helping out, they collected for their annual Christmas hampers for those in need, and 2011 was certainly a year when we distribued the most hampers to date.
The Sleigh which was designed by students of the Maiden Earleigh school goes round many of the major roads in Woodley, Earley, and Charvil over the weeks before Christmas, bringing a little Christmas cheer to those dark evenings, so why not come out and enjoy the atmosphere.
All proceeds raised are then turned into hampers, and are distributed in the local community to those in need as well as respite care homes and homes for the elderly.
Thank you to all who have already donated to our 2011 Christmas appeal, if you see us providing a little Christmas cheer please give generously so we can help those in need.
